== Efficiency == LFTRs can operate at turbine inlet temperatures of 650β1,200 K (377β927 Β°C), achieving thermal-to-electricity conversion efficiencies of 45β50% using a closed Brayton cycle gas turbine, compared to 30β35% for conventional steam-cycle reactors. This means significantly more electricity is generated per unit of fuel consumed.
