PSI TECH: NEW ENIGMA ON THE UFO HORIZON

Some readers of the FORUM will recall news accounts during
the Gulf War of the use of psychics by the UN to find Saddam
Hussein's hidden biological weapons.

Fewer readers will recall that PSI TECH was the name of the
company which provided the psychics to the UN, and that
Major Ed Dames, Retired, US Army Intelligence, is the
president of PSI TECH.

And probably no readers are aware that PSI TECH and Ed Dames
have anything to do with UFOs, and as for the UFO community,
Dames has a message that could split the community down the
middle. What's the message? UFOs are real. Roswell isn't.

Dames said that for nearly 10 years he and his colleagues in
PSI TECH have used a psychic technique called "remote
viewing" to gather information on the UFO phenomena. Remote
viewing was developed in the 1980s by psychic Ingo Swann at
the Stanford Research Institute.

While he was in the military, Dames studied remote viewing
with Swann and trained others in the technique. In 1989
Dames founded PSI TECH, which offers remote viewing services
to industry, governments, and organizations.

Dames says PSI TECH consists of a team of 8 remote viewers,
6 of whom are "present duty or active duty Army intelligence
or Army special operations officers." The team works on
projects like finding Iraq's hidden weapons, locating
Mozart's grave, and determining the fate of the passengers
of Korean Airline 007. But PSI TECH's major project has to
do with UFOs.

PHI TECH's major current project, according to Dames, is to
provide "scientific validation" of an "operational UFO site"
he says he's located in Northern New Mexico. Leading
scientists will announce the results to the public no later
than April, 1993, says Dames.

There is much about ed Dames that will deeply interest the
UFO community. A former Major in the United States Army,
Dames is talking openly about UFOs. No deep throat, the
Major, no anonymous source. And not a cryptic commentor
either. Dames is speaking volumes.

He says UFOs are real. The abductions are real. The greys
are real. The hybrids are real. The bizarre strangeness is
real. But what is not real is the single most important
case developed by the UFO research community. What is not
real is the case whose multitude of witnesses and meticulous
documentation is so impressive it can be presented anywhere
to any public forum including the U.S. Congress. That case
is not real, and the U.S. Government has no pieces of a
crashed flying saucer in it's possession, Dames says.

What was Roswell? According to Ed Dames, Roswell was a
fictitious event staged by the alien, something Dames calls
"brain wave entertainment," something he says he found out
about through remote viewing. "Truck drivers frozen at the
wheel" and "white spheres all over the place." That's what
Dames says the Roswell site actually looked like in 1947,
even though "the participants will go to their graves
swearing it was real."

In repudiating Roswell, Ed Dames puts himself at odds with
the UFO community even as he gives that community something
it desperately wants: public confirmation of the phenomena
from a high level government source. This surely is a
prescription for an uneasy relationship between the UFO
community and Ed Dames.

This is the prospectus and advertising material Ed Dames of PSI
TECH sent me by way of additional material about remote viewing.

I had some mis-givings about releasing this information, but
since it was material that a prospective client would/could
get, and Mr. Dames did not seem to secretive about his
telephone number and address, I decided that releasing this
would not betray any confidences. BTW Ed Dames said that a
book is due out about PSI TECH some time in the future, and
that the newest editions of the TIME-LIFE series on PSYCHIC
POWERS had a sidebar box about PSI TECH in it. I have seen
older editions that mentioned Ingo Swann and supposed Soviet
work in this area.

NOTE: I previously posted this as one long message, but it got
lost, chopped up I think, so I am re-posting. If this DID
make it out to the NET before, then tell me to shut up.

- THE CRISIS PROFILE OF SADDAM HUSSEIN
Our customer, a large company with strategic oil interests in
the Mid East, was concerned about a potential conflict's
effects upon the near and far term price of oil. The statement
of work directed PSI TECH to provide data and analysis on
Saddam himself, i.e., his mind (intent, motivation, emotional
and behavioral states), to penetrate his war room (for
information concerning battle plans, operations, force
strengths, and possible deception schemes), and to provide a
six-month (September 90 - march 91) general outlook for the
Gulf Region.

- INVESTIGATIVE REPOET: HYDROGEN-BASED AUTOMOBILE POWER
PLANT RDT&E
The PSI TECH client for this project was a major auto company.
Our remote viewers performed a world-wide search for present
key research and applied engineering work related to
hydrogen-powered automobiles. We located and described
engineering projects in North America, Japan, France, China,
Germany, and The USSR. Our final report placed emphasis upon
the most potentially sucessful of the projects, and included
sketches of prototype designs, and descriptions of essential
associated engineering features such as turbines, flywheels,
hydraulic and electric components, etc. (Interestingly, we
determined that the most potentially succcessful design would
not belong to our customer!).

- PROJECTED KEY TECHNOLOGIES FOR LUNAR IN-SITU RESOURCE
PROCESSING
Our client was a very large engineering company. Their R&D
section wanted help in selecting - or creating - the most
economical technologies with which to extract lunar elements
(primarily oxygen) for intended use as a possible lunar base
energy source, and as a source of propulsion for Moon-Mars
expeditions. PSI TECH furnished the company
descriptions/sketches of actual future lunar mining and
resource processing operations, and recommendations with regard
to power generation devices.

PSI TECH OPERATIONS

Briefly outlined below is a description of a PSI TECH attack
against a sample remote viewing problem, in this case an
airliner crash:

- The project is assigned a random target reference
number. This number is tagged - in the project director's mind
- to the very specific task at hand, i.e., DETERMINE,
UNEQUIVOCALLY, THE CAUSE OF THE ACCIDENT.

- Selected remote viewers would be informed of the nature
of the project, and provided with general information, if
available (e.g., flight number and/or approximate location or
time of the accident.

- The remaining remote viewers would be provided with
only the target reference number - NO OTHER INFORMATION. This
procedure not only serves as a control measure, it is in fact
the way that PSI TECH employees have been trained to operate,
i.e., unencumbered by conscious 'front loading.'

- A remote viewing session is about 45 minute in
duration. During their first probes, one viewer might acquire
the aircraft prior to its crash, another viewer might describe
a crash site, and others might immediately provide data
relating to the direct cause of the accident.

- Initial reports are screend, (this process is quite
technical), for task-related data, and new cuing, (i.e.,
targeting instructions) developed or refined, based oneach
viewer's individual results. A 100 per cent surety is placed
upon ensembles of jointly corroborating data.

- After a number of sorties ahve been executed by all
participants, data reduction and analysis are performed, key
information and sketches are identified, and an interim project
report is provided to the client. If our work indicates, for
example, a structural failure just prior to the accident, then
the IPR would include such things as sketches ofthe particular
part/assembly that failed, and a description of the event.

- At this point, the client may desire that we elaborate
upon specific things with greater refinement and detail. This
might be the case if, say, PSI TECH determined that the cause
of the crash had been a bomb. We would then provide amplifying
details about the device, its placement aboard the aircraft,
the person(s) responsible, etc.

When the client's demands have been met, we prepare a Final
Project Report summarizing all the project data, and
incorporating our own key assessments.

ADDITIONAL AND GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT PSI TECH:

PSI-TECH currently employs nine highly experienced remote
viewers. The company also utilizes Ingo Swann as a
subcontractor. Mr. Swann is internationally recognized as this
country's premier natural psychic. He discovered and developed
the proprietary methods now used by our company to train and
conduct technical remote viewing.

PSI-TECH has appointed two outside directors from science and
industry. Additionally. we have at our disposal an adjunct
Technical Analysis Team consisting of a multidisciplinary group

PSI-TECH training and operations performance standards are
exacting. we require military precision on the part of our
remote viewers. Each viewer works independently and does not
collaborate or compare data with other viewers. The training
program employed to install those unique skills which enable
the production of calibrated, consistent and accurate results
is rigorous.

While at work a viewer's mind-body state could he generally
characterized as one of high attention. To an unwitting
observer a PSI-TECH viewer could easily be mistaken for someone
engaged in an attempt to solve a difficult math or science
problem. Conscious focus shifts between the tasks of directing
the trained unconscious in a systematic exploration of the
assigned target, breaking out (decoding) the target-associated
gestalt patterns of information, then rendering the data as
detailed words and sketches, (or models if necessary).
Meticulous attention to technical remote viewing structure is
required not only to correctly acquire the target and maintain
lock-on but additionally to disallow subconscious analysis
and/or imagination from interfering with the unconsciously
acquired signal.

Attached were copies of sketches of alleged underground
chemical weapons storage facilities(?), with racks of canisters
and a surface view of the entrance building.

As far as I know this is all the information Ed Dames is making
public about PSI TECH at this time, so I would not try to find
out much more. AFTER ALL he has a business to run. I would
take it as a personal favor if people didn't clog his office up
with requests for more information.

This is CERTAINLY enough to chew on for a while!! As I said in
my last post, I am expecting a response to a letter I sent Mr.
Dames in response to some of the points raised in this
brochure. I will certainly let folks know when I hear
anything, IF I hear anything.
