Hi y'all.
The following is my interpretation of my (very) scribbled
and incomplete notes taken while attending the recent Ufo Expo at the
Hilton Hotel here in sunny Brisbane. I shall try to recall as
accurately as possible what I heard, but make no guarantees. Enjoy.
Firstly, I should point out that audio tapes were made of the
speakers at the Sydney Expo, which was supposed to be identical in
content, and are available from Quickcopy Audio Recording Services,
P.O. Box 361, Padstow, N.S.W. 2211. Australia. Phone 02 584 2036.
There were eight (8) lectures over the 2 day event, and tapes are
available for only seven of them, the Budd Hopkins presentation of
"The Most Important UFO Abduction Case Yet Reported" being considered
by him to be 'too sensitive' for general availability.
Cost of the tapes is $A12.oo each, or $A76 for the collection of all
seven which includes a 'FREE prestige storage folder'. List of tapes

First Lecture: - "How To Recognize Signs of UFO Abduction"
Budd Hopkins.
B.H. started by saying that the first things an abductee notices
are mere snippets of information, and/or a fear or dread of certain
areas/objects, etc.. and that these are due to memory blocks put in
place by the aliens. Missing time is also experienced. Perhaps a
memory of the car stopping for no apparent reason, possibly
accompanied by a flash of light and/or a panic attack. He then went
on to describe some cases that he has studied.
CASE: A couple found themselves in their car, the man behind the
wheel, parked in a field, and a period of 7 hours was missing. They
drove themselves eventually out of the field and found a highway. The
man was hospitalised after this event, although I'm not sure why.
Under Hypnotic regression, it was revealed that they had driven into
this field themselves while being under the control of the aliens,
and an typical abduction scenario followed. B.H. remarked that he
was given an explanation by a sceptic healthworker that these
abductions are an 'American fantasy to cover a fear of increasing
Hispanic immigration'. That got a laugh.
CASE: A policeman was driving along a road at about 3am and remembers
he was near a farmhouse. He then remembers 'coming to' in the same
spot near the farmhouse, but it was now 4:30 am, and the car was on
its roof. It was now raining, and the policeman experience such a
thirst that he scooped rainwater from the roadway to put to his
mouth. His last concious memory before this was of a blue light.
CASE: Two men were working in a bakery in the wee hours, preparing
numerous bread trays by filling them with dough with their usual
intention of leaving the bread to sit while it rose to a certain
level. What was apparently, to them, a split-second later, the two
men were blinking at each other, a period of two hours had passed,
and all the loaves had over-risen.
B.H. then explained that the first concious memories after an
abduction experience usually consist of being awake but feeling a
paralysis, maybe seeing a figure at the foot of the bed/whatever, and
promptly going to sleep again. The abductee then awakes in the
morning as usual, wondering about their 'dreams'.
B.H. goes on to describe two cases of other strange phenomena.
CASE: A man wakes up, leaving his wife asleep in the bed, and goes to
the bathroom. He sees what looks to him like a neon tube, but
emitting red light, appear in the corner of the room near the
ceiling. It moves slowly into the bedroom to a position over his
sleeping wife, emits some beams of light toward her, slowly moves to
its original position in the bathroom and disappears.
CASE: Some young girls around 13 yrs old are having a slumber party,
when a ball of light appears in the room. The girls begin screaming
while the ball moves from in front of the face of one girl, to the
next. The girls are all screaming and very scared, as the ball moves
up the stairs and disappears. By the time the parents are there, the
ball has gone.
B.H. describes some possible 'indicators' that may point toward the
subject being an abductee. He stresses that experiencing one of the
below symptoms alone need not mean anything untoward, but that most
abductees suffer from 2 or more of them.
SCARS. An abductee may feel nauseous when a certain scar on their
bodies is stared at by others.
MEMORY OF FLYING. If the person feels they have this memory but that
it is not a dream. B.H. describes a case of an 11 yr old girl who
accurately described the neighbours' yard after saying she had flown
over it.
DREAD OF A CERTAIN PLACE. The person may experience feeling of nausea
and/or fear when travelling along a certain spot on a road, or
looking at a certain house, being in a certain area, looking through
a certain window, etc.
PHOBIAS/FEARS. B.H. cites a case to illustrate this point: CASE:
-A woman has an intense fear of rats, which does not appear that
unusual, until it is revealed that what she fears most is a rat
sitting on her shoulder staring at her. This relates to looking at
staring black eyes close to her face but lower than her eye level,
ie. an alien.
A person may have an intense fear of the floor giving way, indicating
they have had an experience of floating up to an alien craft.
B.H. tells of the case of a woman who had a fear of elevators, which
again, does not seem unusual, until it is revealed that her actual
fear is that the elevator will continue to travel upwards out of the
building.
Another example he described was of a persons fear of snakes, but
only if the snakes head is close to the subject and staring.
MEDICAL PROBLEMS. Particularly gynaecological in nature. CASE: A
woman thinks she may be pregnant so has a test done which proves
positive. The woman can't figure this out as she has not had sex
during the relevant period. She chooses to have a D & C and duly
books one. 2 nights before the scheduled operation, the woman has a
fearful memory of being 'invaded'. She goes ahead with the operation
and the doctor finds only half a placenta.
FEAR OF HAVING YOUR NAME CALLED. Self explanatory.
CLOTHING BEING MOVED. CASE: A woman goes to bed wearing pyjamas.
When she wakes up, she is naked to the waist, and her legs are
through the arm-holes of the pyjama tops.
FALLING. B.H. cites a case of a woman waking 2 feet above a chair
and falling into it. The 5/6 yr old son tells her he saw alien with
big black eyes.
B.H. then shows some slides, during which I had to write notes in the
dark.
Several slides are shown of typical scars, including 'scoop marks'.
These usually occur on the leg and appear as if a small circular area
of skin has been scooped out. Slides of straight-line cuts are shown,

the people concerned having no memory of aquiring them or of any
blood. A slide of the back of a Frenchman is shown, which shows a 4"
straight line scar. He apparently awoke with this, and also with one
of his big toes partially severed.
Another slide shows a 3 - 4" surgical-type scar on the back of a
woman who awoke with it, but with no blood around at all.
Slide of a small pock-mark or indentation near the ear of a person.
B.H. says he has encountered a few of these.
Slide of a scar with surrounding bruising indicating clamping of the
tissue. The subject felt no pain from this.

subject had been 'manhandled'.
Slide of a persons back showing large (3 - 4") doughnut shaped marks
of a lighter skin colouration with natural coloured centres on both
shoulders in the same position on each. B.H. speculates they could
indicate some sort of clamp or bench.

Slides of drawings of 'grey' faces by 3 yr old girl, Amy, who tells
of abduction experience involving having her pyjamas removed, doing
some sort of sign language with the aliens, and suffers from nose
bleeds and raised bumps on her tummy.
Slides of more childrens drawings of 'grey' faces. All have large
eyes. One child recalls having some sort of instrument put into the
eye socket.
Some slides of a series of drawings by a 3 yr old boy showing an
alien craft, view from inside craft showing aliens, an examination
table and the boy himself. He has drawn 'shake marks' alongside his
face and when asked what they were says; "that's me shaking because I
was so scared". He says one alien never looks at him, they have big
black eyes and four fingers on each hand.
The older brother's drawing is shown, depicting the "doctors" next
to his baby brother's crib.
Slide of drawings by a 7 - 8 yr old boy is shown. He was asked by
his teacher, a nun, Sister Theresa, to depict St. Patricks Day.
Drawing shows a leprechaun, the school building, [I think] a rainbow,
a pot of gold, and a spaceship emitting a beam of light. The Sister
chastises him for drawing the spaceship and says; "you know there are
no such things" or words to that effect. The boy then gets into
trouble because he shouts out "Liar! You were there with me!"
The boy was in the playground and had asked the Sister to tie his
shoelace for him. They were both 'beamed up'. "She was stuck to my
foot" the boy says. They have a typical abduction experience and are
placed back into the playground. All the other kids have gone inside
from play. When questioned [by his parents?] the boy insists on the
truth of his story saying; "I've still got her Rosary beads." and
promptly goes to his room and gives them to his parents. Apparently
he says he grabbed them from her while in the alien craft.
Slide of drawing by 5 yr old who said it was 'Kevin', the name she
had given to her 'best friend'. (a grey) She tells of being in a
craft with other 'bad Kevins' as well as her mother. The girl was
watching her mother being examined and was given a 'baby' to hold,
apparently to calm her down.
Another slide is shown of a foam wig dummy on which a girl has drawn
big black eyes. The featureless head looks remarkably similar to a
'grey'. [can't remember any more to this]
B.H. tells of a man who is scared of the standard lamps in his
lounge. They can't figure out why, until the lamp is turned on. A
slide is shown of the light pattern emitted above the lamp. The light
rays, as they go up the wall and hit the ceiling, look similar to the
outline of the head of a 'grey'.

Second Lecture: - "How ET's (seem to) Think".
Palden Jenkins.
I missed a couple of minutes at the start of this lecture. Palden
Jenkins is English, about 35, and speaks very well. As I seated
myself I heard the words; "Council of Nine". He went on to talk about
how we humans are destroying the planet with pollution and war, etc.,
and that we must become Spiritually Aware as well as aware of our
physical bodies....What is our purpose of being here? Humans have
'individual free will', meaning we can do whatever we want by making
a concious decision, etc.
Goes on to say that we were created with free will as an experiment
to see what will happen, and that we live in "the most densely
populated and the most beautiful planet in the Universe" I'm thinking
to myself- "how the hell would he know?" He says ETs are here to have
a look because Earth is an interesting place, and that we must all
develop a "unity of conciousness" and start "working together".etc...
P.J. says the UFO Abductors "are local neighbours" from within the
Milky Way and they don't understand us fully. There are other beings
who want to stop the 'evolution of the Earth'.
There are 24 "Universal Civilisations" and these are the same as the
Elders mentioned in the book of Revelations in the bible. P.J. now
proceeds to describe three of them. The "Alteans (sp)". These are of
Scandanavian appearance and are technologically minded. The "Hoovids
(sp)" who have recently entered into the service of improving human
evolution, and are responsible for 'seeding' the race of Homo Sapiens
in 32000 BC. They also introduced a gene to us to encrease our
intellegence as evidenced by the births of Freud, Marx and Einstien.
The "Ashans (sp)" who were the basis of the Chinese, Philipinos,
Maoris, etc. and all these are what is meant in the bible by; "the
sons of god mating with the daughters of man". The purpose being to
spread genes.
Jesus was a "Hoovid" and was put here to activate "awakening
programmes" and to teach us to love each other. P.J. says that if we
Earthlings get our act together, we will make "a big difference
Universally". He says we are having a negative influence on the rest
of our Universe because of our irresponsible actions. Earth attracts
more souls because it is a beautiful planet, hence overpopulation,
but there is a chance for us "new souls", born after 1950 to do
something about it.
He says there will be a mass alien landing if 1). "we pull our
socks up and invite them in", or 2). If it looks like we are going to
destroy Earth. They "will not allow Earth to destroy itself, full
stop."
The "Coucil of Nine" have said (through a psychic channeller) that
"humankind must have an awareness of the 24.."
At this point, taxdodgers, I got up and left the lecture. If you feel

Third Lecture:- "History of The UFO Abduction Phenomenon"
Budd Hopkins.
B.H. starts off by stating that the abduction phenomenon encompasses
both the physical and the paranormal. The physical, as represented by
scars, trauma, etc, and the paranormal by the experiences of floating
and telepathy, etc. He illustrates this by describing the following;
CASE; of two women who live in Texas. One of the women wakes up
dropping onto her bed from a height. She retains a memory of a white
room, and seeing her naked cousin on a slab. She now races into her
cousins room but she is not there in bed. She is alarmed and thinks
her cousin must have gone out, so she looks out the window to the
ground floor to see if her cousins car is there. It is. She then
looks for the cousins car keys. They are also where they should be.
She then goes to the telephone intending to ring the police, but she
hears a moan and drops the phone, racing into her cousins room to
find her on the bed, but with her head at the foot of the bed. Her
hair is wet, and she retains some recollection of seeing aliens.
The physical is represented by the wet hair, dropping onto the beds,
etc., and the paranormal is represented by the fact that all the

B.H. tells that he started in the ufo field with no opinion either
way. In 1964 he was driving to a party with two other people, when
they saw a lense-shaped object in a partially-cloudy sky. As they got
closer and under the ufo, they could see that it was circular, and
they saw clouds, obscure it and partially obscure it. The three
thought it must have been a tethered balloon of some kind, as it
appeared not to move. The ufo then shot off *into* the wind. So much
for the balloon theory. They watched it 'til it disappeared, from
inside the car. B.H. then wrote a letter [to the Airforce?] asking
for an explanation, and received a reply saying there was no
explanation but, should you see another one, report it to the Airforce.
In 1966, he heard about the Betty and Barny Hill case, which happened
in 1961, and thought it was rediculous. Next, he heard of the Hickson
and Parker fishing trip abduction, and the Travis Walton case. He
started seriously looking into ufo's in 1975. B.H. then mentions the
'foo fighter' sightings during the war, and how each side thought
they were a secret weapon of the other.
B.H. then spent seven years investigating cases and watching
Psychologists perform hypnosis, which he learned to perform himself.
He mentions that we all have our hopes, that somehow we will be
helped in life, be it religious or otherwise, and we all have our
fears for our life, be it the problem of drugs, or whatever, but he
has no idea or evidence to suggest whether the aliens are friendly or
agressive. He asks; why do we find this sort of thing so difficult to
accept? - and suggests that if the press were doing their job
properly, we would all be more aware of it, and he is always asking
the press to perform their own investigations.
B.H. now gives some examples of how difficult it is for us to accept
new ideas. He cites Gallileo in the 1500's, and how he was persecuted
for daring to suggest the Earth was *not* the centre of the Universe,
and how the ideas of Darwin and Freud were difficult to accept. He
then tells us of the existance of a film of an object circling a V2
rocket captured from Germany and being tested at White Sands proving
ground, and warns us of two sources of information never to trust; -
Governments, and aliens. He also says he has no idea to where this
abduction phenomenon is leading.
B.H. now brings up the subject of alien levels of deception, citing
the following case: A woman and her friend are returning from a
party and come across a six-car pile-up on the road. All the
car-lights are on, but there is no-one around at all. They said they
didn't stop because the whole thing felt eerie, and when they got
home, they didn't call the police. They later underwent hypnotic
regression, and it was revealed that the pile-up was actually a ufo,
and that while they were paralysed, they remembered, they were told;
"You will remember this as a 6 car pile-up."
B.H. has concluded that the aliens can control to a degree, our
minds and memories, therefore, what we conciously remember of an
event, may not be valid. He says; "only hypnosis can reveal the
truth." He then mentions that he has looked at some scars and marks
on people attending the Expo.
The abductions, he says, begin at childhood, and it looks as if the
aliens are conducting some type of genetic experimentation, and
apparently, creating hybrids. He now shows more slides, and in the
gloom I begin to scribble at unnatural angles.

Hhmm...my notes say "Richard Haynes photo, (NASA)" Can't remember
that one at all.
Next are a series of slides from the Kathie Davis case, about whom
part of the book 'Intruders' was written. The first shows the area of
dead grass where a neighbour witnessed the ufo lifting off. The soil
was 'baked' to a level of 6". The next is a slide of the same sight
after a snow fall. The snow has partially melted over the area where
the soil has been baked. B.H. says that because the soil has
'granulated', the water was able to soak through. He also states that
mud cannot be made with the affected soil, and it doesn't support
insect life, and tests showed that no insecticide was present in the
soil. The next two shots are 2 and 3 years later, showing the
grass gradually growing back into the circle. There is a slide of a
crack in the soil, down which Kathie Davis says she poked a 12" ruler,
lost her grip and dropped it. It disappeared down the crack.
A slide is shown of Kathie Davis's drawing of the ship she saw, and
resembles the top half of an egg, standing on end, with four landing
legs extending vertically from the ground, jointed in the centre,
then connecting with the sides of the craft. Three more slides follow
of drawings of remarkably similar craft by other people from other
places, one of them from Africa. Next was a slide of a person with a
4" straight cut, and had experienced 2 hours missing time. [I can't
remember whether this has anything to do with Kathie Davis or if it's
just out of sequence, as I can't picture the slide] The next slide is
a drawing of Kathie Davis's 'grey' at the foot of the bed. B.H. then
told how he helped out on the set of 'Intruders' by showing Richard
Crenna his hypnosis technique. Next slide is of a sculpture of a
'grey' by an abductee. [don't remember who] The alien is looking up,
as remembered.
B.H. then talks of a girl named Sandy, who, when asked to describe
what she saw, says; he "came up to the microwave", indicating its
height. She also says, as do many others, that the thin neck appeared
to be in the middle of the head, meaning that the head seems to be
evenly balanced on the neck, not like us, whose heads are forward of
the neck.
Two drawings of Kathie Davis's hybrid child are shown, illustrating
the sparse hair partially covering the head, and the more 'humanised'
look of the eyes and face. The second drawing is of the child's
partially hidden face, peering around a door, as she remembers it.
The final slide is a photograph of a scar on Kathie Davis's mothers'
leg. B.H. says that the aliens seem to be intrigued by our love and
bonding that we show our children, and seem to watch intently when
they hand over the hybrid children.
B.H. now invites questions.
Someone asks "are more women than men abducted?"
B.H. answers that he thinks it is a 50/50 spread between males and
females, but that women find it easier to come forward, men being
less able to talk of not being in control. He talks of a case of a
big, burly sargeant who was terrified that he was in a situation
where he had no control over his own will. This was hard for him to
accept, because of his machismo, and because of his profession, where
he is used to being in control at all times.
B.H. tells of two cases he knows of where women have gone to bed 7
months pregnant, and woken up with flat stomachs and absolutely no
sign of miscarriage.
I couldn't hear the next question, but it must have been something
like; "Why are the aliens showing the hybrid children?" B.H. thinks
that it's part of a programme to slowly reveal themselves, and goes
on to tell of a case where a small girl is abducted at night and
taken to a playground. She later says "they must have been playing
baseball mummy, because the lights were on.." That particular park
has no lighting. In the park, the girl was confronted by 9 hybrid
children, and told by 'adult alien' to teach them how to play. The
girl played for a while, on the slide, etc., while the hybrids simply
watched emotionlessly. She asks the alien if the hybrid children can
play with her and is told, no, you must show them. The girl recalls
one of the hybrids picking up sand and slowly letting it run through
it's fingers onto it's feet.

Rosemary Decker.
R.D. looks to be in her mid 60s and is about 4'8" tall. She is a
MUFON researcher, but *not* a public speaker. She has a sometimes
wavering voice, and a habit of turning away from the microphone while
speaking. She doesn't seem at ease on a podium, and occasionally
breaks into a nervous laugh.
R.D. opens by citing the biblical story of the 'writing on the
wall', as a possible alien projected hologram. She then attempts the
story of the "figures on the wall" in Ireland in "1887". She was
actually referring to an occurrance in Knock, County Mayo, on the
evening of 21st of August 1879. R.D. says the figures were three
dimensional and that someone tried to kiss the feet of the vision,
which was thought to be the virgin Mary, and their "hands went right
through". The version I have read says that the figures of St John
the Evangelist, the Blessed Virgin, and St. Joseph, were flat and 2
dimensional, as if projected against the wall by 'magic lantern', or
even phosphorescent paint. <who knows> M.D. offered no further
information to back up her 'alien hologram' claims for this
particular event. She does state, though, that conditions and general
awareness and well-being of the townsfolk improved after the
phemonenon, and this seems to be the case.
R.D. cites the case of Raymond Fowler, father of the author of "The
Watchers", and says he was stationed, as a radio engineer, somewhere
along the New England coast at some sort of coastguard station. She
continues that on this particular night, a storm was imminent, and a
lightning bolt struck the building, and a ball of light appeared
inside and struck and entered R.F.'s solar plexus. He experience
"great tranquility" as the ball spun [?] inside him. He then saw
three flashes of light and three figures appeared smiling at him. One
of them [she didn't describe their appearance] reached out and took
the ball of lightning and tossed it to the second figure. The ball
decreased in size. This figure then tossed it to the third, and the
ball again decreased to about the size of a tennis ball. The third
figure then tossed it out through the wall, where it caused damage to
wires and fittings.
R.D. then says that someone named Cynthia Appleton was visited by a
projection, and it told her she was witnessing a hologram. She offers
no further information, but I will now copy the story from "The UFO
Encyclopedia" by John Spencer, for your information:
"APPLETON, CYNTHIA. In November 1957, Cynthia Appleton, a
housewife from Birmingham, England, reported a contactee-type
experience. In fact no UFO was reported but during the afternoon a
figure materialised in Mrs Appleton's living room similar in
description to the Adamski Venusians of a few years earlier,
suggesting a similar experience and one validly included in the UFO
field. Light outside the house had been disturbed shortly before the
materialisation, and returned to normal after the figure had
appeared. The entity was quite tall with long blond hair, pale
complexion and elongated features.
There appear to have been four contacts and during these the
presumed extraterrestrial gave a great deal of information
apparently predating known technology of the time; displaying what
seemed to be a hologram describing atomic structure physics, the
laser, and cancer cures based on frequency modulation. [shades of
Keely!] There were physical traces left once by the entity when he
burned his finger; some skin in a bowl of water. Apparently these
were analysed and found to resemble animal skin rather than human
skin."
R.D. then talks of a case concerning a Mrs Merryweather (sp) of the
U.S.A. who watched a ufo stop and help another ufo, possibly aiding
in repairs. Mrs. M. said they looked like a hologram rather than
real. The ufos then took off. R.D. says this was witnessed by other
people and reported. A story on it was written by one Hillary Evans
(sp). [neither Evans nor Merryweather appear in my Encycopedia. <sob>]
The next case R.D. talks about is of a Durban, Africa couple named
Peter and Frances (sp), who were driving along when a hologram
appeared in the back seat of their car. It apparently spoke to them
and told the couple that it was a hologram. As they continued, they
passed what appeared to be two abandoned busses. They then saw a
bright light, and a ufo had appeared. They lost control of the
vehicle, but it kept travelling. R.D. says they travelled 288 klm in
1 hour 45 minutes, but the speedometer indicated that only 17 klm had
been travelled, and only 2 litres of fuel had been used.
R.D. now describes a case involving a Terry Baker, a newspaperman,
who spoke at an Ozark Ufo Conference. There was a ufo flap in
progress at Fife, Alabama at the time, (1990) and many were being
reported. A Nashville T.V. station sent some reporters to Fife for a
story. As they were leaving [Bakers' office?] they witnessed a
transport truck descend from the sky and land on the road. A similar
incident was reported by someone else, that they had witnessed a
truck travelling along the road, then taking off into the sky.
R.D. invited questions, and I stood up to ask; "In the Durban case,
did the Hologram say anything else, other than it was a hologram, to
the couple?"
I was answered with: "I can't recall." [anyone out there got any
info on this case?]

Budd Hopkins is in Australia at the moment. Last weekend I attended
UFO Expo '92 & thought people might be interested in these notes,
taken by my sister Jane, during Hopkin's 4 lectures.
Even though I found his entire presentation riveting, the highlight
for me was probably lecture 4, his discussion of "The Most
Important Abduction Yet". This was an abduction in the middle of
New York City in Nov.'89. It involved multiple independent witnesses
who observed the abductee & three beings float out her 12th story
apartment window & ascend a beam of light into the craft. This
abduction was possibly staged for the benefit of a prominent
polititian who was one of the witnesses. X-rays of her nasal
implant were also shown. It is a rich & complex case, still under
investigation & Hopkins presented only about 5% its data during the
lecture.

DAY 1
HOW TO RECOGNISE THE SIGNS OF UFO ABDUCTION
As children, abductees are sometimes fascinated by astronomy with a
keen interest in UFO's.
Experiences of MISSING TIME where there is no sense of time
elapsing between hours.
The example of the English policeman whose last conscious memory
was his car slowing down and the lights going out. Then in what
seemed like the next minute, his car was landing upside down on the
same road. It was some hours after his last recollection. The
aliens, apparently having abducted the cop, car and all,
accidentally put them back the wrong way, demonstrating that
Murphy's Law is universal!
Abductees often sense a presence in their rooms at night or hear
someone calling their name when there's no one around.
Seeing lights is a common symptom. A particular type is a thin
column of fluorescent red light which emits flashes.
Many have unusual scars, like scoop marks or straight line cuts on
their legs, arms and backs. A number of slides shown of the marks
on various subjects. It is speculated that they are the result of
some sort of biopsy. Also unexplained bruising.
Waking up in different or fewer clothes or in a completely
different position than the individual went to bed in, is also a
sign. One woman awoke naked, no longer wearing the panties she went
to bed in & those found nearby didn't even belong to her!
Other symptoms include;
* Memories of flying through the air & seeing ones house &
neighborhood from above, possibly noticing details like
clogged gutters, etc (not flying dreams which we've nearly all had).
* An unusual fear or dread of certain places.
* Powerful & inappropriate reactions to UFO subjects.
SCREEN MEMORIES are an effective system of denial for the victims
of abduction. In their conscious memories, abductees recall
encounters with animals that display some characteristics of the
aliens, such as big black eyes and grey skin. Exploring potential
victims' unreasonable fear of rats, sharks, owls, deer, spiders
etc. has led to the uncovering of many abduction cases. It is basic
to the abduction experience.

Aliens employ mechanisms which make people forget.
MISSING PREGNANCIES--there have been cases where women (sometimes
celibate or virgin) discover they are pregnant and after a time
that pregnancy disappears. Doctors have been baffled by cases of
disappearing fetuses with no apparent sign of miscarriage.
By disguising questions pertaining to the UFO/abduction phenomenon
in a census survey by the Roper Org., unrelated to UFO's and
answered by 6000 people, researchers were able to gauge an estimate
of how many Americans are affected by abduction. It established
that:
13% have experienced an episode of missing time
10% have flying memories (not the dreams of flying that we all have)
8% have unexplained scars.
2% are abductees, conservatively = 5 million Americans
These results were far higher than anticipated by either
researchers or the mental health workers consulted prior to the
survey.
(Since in Australia, B.H. has spoken to at least thirty people who
display classic symptoms of abduction)
Abduction experiences are potentially damaging to individuals as
they penetrate the texture of family relationships.
HISTORY OF THE UFO ABDUCTION PHENOMENON
Governments have denied the reality of the abduction phenomenon.
The aliens and the government have their own purposes and agendas
and for that reason, Hopkins says neither should be believed.
The abduction experience is similar to rape, the victims suffering
some of the same anxieties as the rape victim. Although not all
people react the same. Small children can tend to think it fun.
Mental health communities are slowly changing in their attitude
toward abduction (Budd is currently investigating the personal
abductions of 5 psychiatrists who have sought his help).
It is an extraordinary phenomenon which requires an extraordinary
investigation.
Betty and Barney Hill were the first case of hypnotic regression
and put the subject on the map.
Charlie Parker and Calvin Hickson, second case, 1973. C.H. never
been mentally right after the incident.
It gradually came to light that these sorts of experiences were
more common than imagined.
It took twenty years to accept that a UFO had an inside.
Scars were noticed first, then screen memories, then it became
known that there were cases of repeated abduction.
Previously, the stories of people who reported a UFO more than once
were discounted, largely because the experience was believed to be
so rare, that if it happened more than once, the person must be
lying. It is now known that multiple experiences are the rule!
It then became apparent that reproductive experiments were perhaps
the focus of the abductions. It seems clear that they're involved
in the reproduction of hybrids.
A little girl was asked to show a group of nine hybrids how to play
on swings etc. in a play ground. She had gone up & down the slippery
dip & played on the swings in the nearby park for a time but the
nine "twins" just stared--the little girl became very upset and
asked the small man "Why wont they play with me". He told her that
they had to learn how by watching her. In another case a secretary
was asked what she said to workmates on arriving & departing work,
how to use a PC & a range of other questions relating to mundane
activities--while being watched by a being who appeared very
nearly human.

The aliens are particularly concerned with the way humans treat and
nurture their young. Female abductees regularly report being asked
to hold & touch & nurse tiny hybrid "children".
Some speculate that alien evolution has reached a point where
reproduction is achieved by in vitro methods and because of this
they have lost their maternal instincts.
Some speculate that the Aliens are dazzled by & envious of the
richness of our environment, our wide ranging individuality of
personality & spirituality. They are here for their own reasons.

jokes: It was easy to get the birds to fly in a straight line--the
tough part was getting them to defecate on demand.

There is disagreement between UFO researchers. Some believe that
the aliens and the government are working together & that perhaps
an arrangement was made at some time in which the Govt. agreed to
ignore abductions in exchange for technology.
B.H. does not believe that there is any exchange of technological
information If there was "Saddam Hussein would be sitting in a
cell next to Noriega and George Bush would be riding high on the
promise of re-election."
There is enough persuasive evidence to conclude that an alien
spacecraft crashed in Roswell, New Mexico, 1947.
Generally abductees tend to have:
low self esteem
sexual and physical disorientation
problems with relationships and commitments because of distrust.
Again, they have the profile of a rape victim.
DAY 2
RECALLING UFO ABDUCTION EXPERIENCES THROUGH HYPNOSIS
Most abduction experiences are blocked from conscious recollection.
Material is buried in the memory of the abductee but then bubbles
up and emerges.
No ideas about why aliens do this. Possibly to cover tracks.
Perhaps memory is blocked for the benefit of the individual. Don't
know why or how it operates. Sometimes, abductees recall events for
a short time and tell others, only to forget it hours later themselves.
Memory loss confuses an account.
Hypnotic regression is a tool with which to unlock the memory.
First used in the Betty and Barney Hill case.
Since in Australia, B.H. has spoken to at least thirty people who
have displayed classic symptoms of abduction.

A frightening experience. People have been put in mental hospitals,
had nervous breakdowns and in some cases, committed suicide.
B.H. has never spoken to an abductee who would want their children
to go through the same experience. He deals mainly with people who
are deeply traumatized after an experience rather than content.
Abductee often lives in a state of siege. Can't sleep, don't want
to travel etc.
Slides of abductee drawings of aliens. Some are softened to make
the experience more palatable to victim. Usually get worse (less
human-like) after hypnotic regression.
Some aliens are more insect like than others, although the eyes
remain a central focus.
It seems that the aliens often ask subjects questions in order to
get a telepathic feel of their emotions. eg: one man was asked
(forced) to remember what he felt like when his father died.
Humans are trained from early childhood to read faces. Alien
faces cannot be read and decoded. Part of the terror is that the
victim doesn't know what's going to happen next. Even abduction
by an Arab terrorist in the desert wouldn't be so frightening,
because at least with a human being you have some chance of
sensing an emotion.
Most aliens have thin necks in the centre of the head--like a
lollipop on a stick with wrap around eyes. Thin and frail
bodies.
Hybrids will often seem extremely unhealthy.
Woman with missing pregnancy experiences are shown hybrid children
which are a mix of alien and human characteristics.
Varying hands. Some aliens have four digits and others are reported
to have a tripod like three fingered hand, others still a pad like
structure on the finger tips.
When regressing a subject, the hypnotist needs to hone in on one incident.
B.H. has been practicing hypnotic regression since 1983. Has worked
with many mental health professionals both in training and
regressing them for their own experiences.
At first, he tries to lead the subject away from the issue in order
to see if they can be led. Genuine cases are not leadable.
Tape of Linda's first regression. In a cabin on holiday, five
months pregnant, uncontrollable desire to go outside (very common).
Consciously couldn't recall seeing anyone but instantaneously found
herself a mile away from the cabin.
Linda: "Is everybody in their cars?... it's a lively bunch...oh
that's strange, I don't know what that is. I'm gonna go back to my
cabin... I think I want to get out of here... I want to get out of
here.. Why can't I move my feet. I must be real frightened. I've
been frightened before and I don't freeze, I run. Look at those
people. Little people. So small. I can see them in the light.
They're coming over here. Perhaps they can help me move my feet."
Growing more distressed. "They're strange. They're white but a dark
white. There's too much light... There's three. I'm saying I wanna
go back to my room. Not saying anything. I think I've seen them
before." More distressed. B.H. soothes. "They came close. They took
my arm. There was one behind and one in front and I couldn't walk.
They dragged me into the parking lot and then into the trees and...
no no no... I see a round, I don't know what it is and it's in the
field and they're dragging me, why can't I move my legs? And it

B.H. Look at it as if you're looking through a telescope the wrong
way. "That was a difficult time, a long time ago, you came through
it fine, you're fine now", etc.
"I've seen them before you know. They took me to this room. It had
a strange smell. It's round and white. Smells like a match. They
put me on the table. I don't want to lose the baby... don't know
how I got up on that table but I'm sitting up there and Oh those
eyes, they're so terrible."
The tape gives a sense of the emotions that abductees go through.

(I've just finished this one--an excellent analysis of the process
of the abduction, physical & mental procedures regularly performed,
etc.)
Audience questions:
Are people able to defend themselves against abduction?
Case of a woman who threw a heavy pillow and tried to run from the
room. As the pillow left her hands her feet were "glued" to the
floor, stopping her & breaking a bone in her foot--the pillow
however sailed through the air & hit the small figure.
A man wrote a note to the aliens asking them why the abductions and
why don't they ask his permission. Rolled note up, drew an alien
face on it and tied it to his ankle, night after night. Eventually
awoke to find it gone, searched everywhere but was sure it hadn't
fallen off. Woke up a few mornings later and the note was taped
back to his ankle--unopened, unread.
A question was asked about humans helping the aliens . . .
Several abductees have observed "worker" humans who carry out tasks
for the aliens. Budd has 3 cases of abductees who recall being
dressed in a blue gown, open at the back, working with the aliens,
helping usher other humans to examination tables, etc. These
individuals have great feelings of guilt at being treasonous
against their fellow humans but are unable to do anything about it.
Case of man raping seven year old girl, seemingly under instruction
from the aliens, in early days of reported abductions.
Is it possible that the aliens might be human beings of the future,
time traveling?
B.H. likes to keep the thing rooted in the experience of the
individual & avoid speculation. Working slowly outwards from what
we do know.
THE MOST IMPORTANT UFO ABDUCTION CASE YET REPORTED
LINDA first approached B.H. in 1989 after reading part of Intruders
but not being able to get past the bit about Kathy Davis nasal
implant. L. had a faint bulge at the side of her nose and an
inappropriate anxiety about it. She went to a doctor who said she
had a surgical scar in her nostril.
Sometimes implants show up on MRI's and CAT scans. Not normally on
X-rays, but L's did--it was quite radio opaque. A few days later
she woke up with a bleeding nose. In May, she, her husband, son &
his house guest friend all got nose bleeds at 4:20am.
L. had conscious recollections of waking up at night to see little
person in room.
Under hypnosis recalled floating out a twelfth floor window and
into a blue light. Roughly 3.15am. Enters ship. Ended when she
found herself being dropped onto the bed. Husband and son switched
off.

It seems impossible that the many abduction cases which take place
in NY, take place without any witnesses. It is as if it is somehow
controlled. No one knows why.
Fifteen months after L's incident, B.H gets a letter from Richard
and Dan, Feb. '91. They're two cops at a particular address in Nov
'89 and saw a UFO lowering itself next to a building. Then they saw
some small figures and a woman float out of the window & ascend
into the craft which took off and then plunged into the river. They
had been tortured by this event since it happened & had let Hopkins
know in order that some "authority" could do something with the
experience. Co-incidentally & unbeknowns to them, Budd was actually
treating the woman that they observed being abducted.
B.H. called L. and told her about letter from R. & D. She was
profoundly shocked at the confirmation of the incident recalled
under hypnosis.
R. & D. (the bad guy) went to see L., They were shocked that Linda
knew what they were there to talk about as they had no idea that
Linda was working through her experiences with Budd. R. says: "You
don't know us but we've been worried about you." (an
understatement--they had been frought with guilt about being
powerless to intervene & stop the abduction).
L. persuaded R. & D. to at least make an audio tape of what they
saw. D. took leave of absence because he wasn't handling the
experience.
R. sent tape to B.H. Voice filled with emotion. He believes L. is
of good character. Strangest ever subject matter of his profession.
His partner disorientated and embarrassed. Feels like he's been
shot. L. frightened and sincere. Doesn't want to sacrifice the good
name he's made over the years. Between 3 & 3.30, R. & partner
were sitting in their car. Silver paper from a stick of gum
reflects a red glow. Saw frank UFO hovering over building.
Horizontal rectangular windows and rotating lights. Like the sci fi
objects he used to laugh at on TV. Saw a woman in a long white gown
& three small figures float out the window in fetal position. They
then all straightened into a standing position. Through binoculars
he saw three of the ugliest creatures he'd ever seen. They escorted
L. into the craft, ascending on a blue white beam of light. Slowly
moved up. Partner screamed "we have to get 'em". R. could hardly
breathe. Craft flew directly toward & over them (with a tremendous
feeling of static electric ling) before plunging into the river
behind Brooklyn bridge and stayed under for as long as they waited
(45 min.). Look on L's face was pure white with no expression.
Doesn't want to be identified for fear of being laughed at &
destroying the career he has worked hard to build.
There have never been witnesses in a case like this before.
D. had a complete mental breakdown after the incident and is now in
hospital. In a letter to B.H. he says that he trembles when he sees
L. Doesn't want the experience to be real or to be reminded of it.
The manner in which they took her drove him nuts. Asks himself,
who is she? Is she one of them? Both cops have nightmares about
trying to arrest beings. Wonders if they know they were there and
if they'll take them too (paranoia). Fears losing job if dept.
finds out. The static cling and electricity of the craft were
incredible. D. has let himself go and cannot sleep.
This letter, according to a psychiatrist was the first sign of a
total paranoid collapse.
After this, both R. & D. wrote to B.H. and revealed they were not
really police officers but security agents who, at the time, were
minding a very important political figure, who also saw the
incident.
L. gets abducted by R. & D. on the street. Ask her "Do you work for
the govt.? Is it some kind of govt. thing? Some sort of hoax? What
happened on craft? Do you think they saw us?" Then they made L.

take of her shoes and socks to examine her feet to see if she had
toes like the aliens. Had been calling her a half breed.
R. & D. abducted L. twice. Second time she was hit by a car while
trying to escape. Both times there was another car following. L.
got part of license no. & this further implicates the
politician.
B.H. received another letter from a woman who also saw the aliens
abduct L. on 30 November, 1989 at 3.15am. Her car came to a dead
stop on the Brooklyn Bridge. All the bridge lights went out and
other cars stopped too. A series of drawings of what she saw. The
lights were so bright she had to shield her eyes. Bets thousands
saw the incident of the figures standing up in mid air. There was a
normal girl child and three large headed children. The woman looked
like a mannequin. All went beneath the craft and vanished. Craft
disappeared under the bridge. Static cling was strong and the body
hair stood up. Couldn't communicate with the other people, also in
cars which had stalled on the bridge, because they were screaming &
seemed even more distressed than she. She thought she was watching
the making of a movie. (Snow White & 7 Dwarves) It looked fake it
was so real.
The witnesses watches stopped at 3.16am.
The other man in the car, we are assured, is a very important
person. R. & D. had an excellent view, through binoculars, from
where they were and things could also be seen clearly from the
bridge.
B.H. has interviewed someone else who was also abducted that night.
Green and yellow lights rotated around the rim of the craft. Craft
turned to white and the lights went off.
Two different drawings by different witnesses (R & the lady on the
bridge) almost identical.
X-ray of L's nasal implant was shown. Also shown were slides of
drawings performed by abductees of what they remember the implants
to look like & the instrument used to insert them.
Aliens arranged it so the witnesses were there. The display was
purposeful--not an accident!. No one could miss it, it was brighter
than a light show. When the case becomes known, other witnesses
will come forward.
There are quite disturbing manipulative aspects to the case. Seems
it was arranged for the benefit of a political figure. Act of
display and deception.
Right now the case is about to be debunked by skeptics and perhaps
govt. agencies.
B.H. wants to move people from a position of skepticism to one of
action, tolerance and understanding.
At the moment, abductees are victimised twice--first by the aliens &
then by the Govt. The Govt. says it isn't real and thereby
exacerbates the trauma through denial of its reality.

Aliens arranged it so the witnesses were there. The display was purposeful--not an accident!. No one could miss it, it was brighter than a light show. When the case becomes known, other witnesses will come forward.
There are quite disturbing manipulative aspects to the case. Seems it was arranged for the benefit of a political figure. Act of display and deception.
Right now the case is about to be debunked by skeptics and perhaps govt. agencies.
B.H. wants to move people from a position of skepticism to one of action, tolerance and understanding.
At the moment, abductees are victimised twice--first by the aliens & then by the Govt. The Govt. says it isn't real and thereby exacerbates the trauma through denial of its reality.
