Mystery of the Metal Monoliths
A mysterious metal monolith was discovered in Wales on a muddy bluff near the town of Hay-on-Wye in Powys. The roughly 10-foot-tall silver metal structure was found by hiker Craig Muir, who described it as resembling a UFO and appearing to be made of steel, roughly 10 feet tall by a foot-and-a-half wide, and hollow inside.
This discovery reignited speculation about the origin of similar monoliths found in various locations worldwide since 2020, including Utah, California, Romania, and the Isle of Wight.
Theories about these monoliths range from artistic installations to extraterrestrial artifacts, with some suggesting they are elaborate pranks or hoaxes.
For example, an artist collective called "The Most Famous Artist" claimed responsibility for monoliths in Utah and California, but not for those in Romania or Wales.
In some cases, monoliths have been removed or destroyed, such as the one found in Utah, which disappeared shortly after its discovery.
The latest addition to this phenomenon was a monolith discovered near Las Vegas in June 2024, which was removed due to public safety and environmental concerns.
Despite various claims and theories, the true origin and purpose of these metal monoliths remain a mystery.
