CHEMICAL ANALYSIS REVEALS 'UFO ASH' AS POTASSIUM
CHLORIDE
From UFO Magazine Volume 4 Number 2 Page 9
Chemical analysis by Australian scientists
has determined that the black, ash-like substance left on the
car of UFO witness Fay Knowles is composed of potassium chloride
molecules displaying highly unusual characteristics.
In January of 1988, Knowles and her two sons Sean and Wayne
were accosted by a "huge, bright glowing object" while driving on a
stretch of road in southern Australia. The strange substance was
covering the care after the encounter.
Scientists at Melbourne's Monash University say the particles
appear like nothing ever before seen, showing unusual velocity
characteristics as if ejected from a space shutlle blast.
This is not the first time such "UFO dust" has figured into
a documented UFO encounter. Another case in Pennsylvania left such
evidence. The Pennsylvania Association for the Study of the
Unexplained (PASU) reports that on December 4 of last year, a police
officer viewed a bright light shining through some trees in Dauphin
County. As he approached the area where the light shone, he
allegedly saw a bright object about 75 feet in diameter, shaped like
a flattened oval.
After the object disppeared, the witness noticed that his car
was covered with an unusual powdery substance, which PASU later
identified as potassium chloride.
